Nope… haven’t seen that error. But if your admin user can’t do admin tasks, I’d assume that your database is a little corrupt.
I’d try to create another admin user, login as that user and try again. If that doesn’t work, you might want to re-install or repair the AMS server.
You might be able to backup first so that you can restore the data after the rebuild, but if the data is corrupt, you’ll just be shooting yourself in the foot.
I noticed that I recieved that error today as a result of Avast automatically trying to run the task.
I set explicit permissions to the SQL user to be able to do a database backup and a few other roles.
In ADM I then went to Database Management, right clicked the task clicked on Access Rights. Made sure the account had full control, then tested access. Once that confirmed it was working I then ran the task again and it completed successfully.
I’m not sure if you have got yours working, but try those things. If you still have problems post back, and I will see if I can assist you getting it working. Also let me know what version of Windows and SQL you are running.
Thanks for the reply. I am kind of still having the issue. It seems that when I run a database cleanup task the console hangs/times out and the LOG file of the database starts filling up to a huge amount. Does this sound right?
