Every time i complete a search i get a list of things searched with the report “unable to scan”
here is a screencap
Are you using spybot S&D? I would be also grateful if you could post all exact path to file (maybe one or two). I think it may be some kind of backups which can be password protected. Also can you look what is the exact message of error. Just expand these fields and look.
yes i do have spy bot installed. do you think that could be disturbing it?..
i will have to rerun the scan to get what you have requested. i will post again shortly.
Just try to remove all recovery backups Spybot made and it should help. Spybot saves items it removes as backup in password protected archives, but I don’t think you’ll need it. Or add folder to exclusion list: all these files should be in the same folder. But my recommendation is to remove backups.
yep that worked! Genius i tell you. Genius. ;D
By the way, as you can see on the screenshot the text was clipped (“Unable to scan: Ar…” doesn’t seem like a complete phrase). By widening the column (by dragging its border in the header), you would see the whole message, which probably was: “Unable to scan: Archive is password protected”.
BTW2 - welcome to the avast forum!
