I recently updated Avast Free Antivirus to ver. 17.3.2291 (build 17.3.3443.0) and noticed that i can´t start Blizzard games (such as World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, etc.) while Avast shields are active. Turning off shields let me do things as usual, I tried add the .exe files, that throw the error, in the game mode tab w/o changes, hope you can take a look.
I just launched Diablo 3 with all of avasts shields on and I had no issue with getting into the game. I also use the avasts game mode so I have to wonder did you add the main executable of the game to the list and is game mode actually turned on in the settings?
Kinda late but I got the chance to try all games and as you say Diablo 3 starts w/o problem. in fact, game mode recognizes Diablo and add it to the list, but Im still unable to start the rest of the games. Turning off Behavior Shield resolves the problem for now, I´ll try reinstalling stuff.
Yeah I wondered if maybe Diablo had no issues and it was just the others that were. I haven’t played wow in a while and besides hearthstone which I haven’t played in a while I don’t currently play anything else from Blizzard. You can go into avadts behavioral settings via components section and change it’s behavior to ask instead of the default block. It’s kinda hidden to get to and If I was at my computer I’d give you direct sections to go to but im currently replying via my phone.
