UNABLE TO TO START AT FIRST ATTEMPT

Hi support team.
can anyone recommend me the solution of my problem suffering from avast sartup at first attempt.
whenever i try to run program, in the first time it just shows memory test but fail to load the further process which leads to slow down i.e, if i refersh,copy,with mouse i see a shadow of command on the screen. I don’t understand why this is happening.
please anyone help me.

Which is your Windows? 98, Me, XP, Vista?
Do you use any other antivirus in your computer?

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?

YES, I HAD DONE ALL THE THING MENTION LIKE REPAIR, REINSTALL AND MY OS IS WINDOW XP PROFESSIONAL-SP2
THIS IS PROBLEM IS SAME WITH MY BROTHER PC ALSO.
I DONT GET ANY SOLUTION TILL YET.
CAN ANY ONE KNW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM SOLUTION

Can you try an installation from the scratch?

  1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
  2. Boot.
  3. Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall and use it for complete uninstallation.
  4. Boot.
  5. Install again the last avast! version.
  6. Boot.
  7. Check and post the results.
