Unable to turn on Core Shields

Hi, I’ve been unable to turn on any of the core shields. Each time I turn a shield on, it turns off almost immediately. Windows 10 Home user here.

It has been like this for a while and I feel like I tried almost everything. Reinstalling/repairing Avast doesn’t help and it has been like this for a while. I am sure I have the newest Avast update. I also thought it might have clashed with Malwarebytes - uninstalled MB without change.

Please, does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this? I’m starting to be desperate.

Can you please try the following:avs
(Right-click on the Avast Antivirus icon in the system tray > click on Avast Shields Control > Disable for 10 minutes)
Does it turn off?
Does it automatically enable again when the specified time duration elapses?
