Unable to turn on my paid for vpn

I have been trying to turn on my paid for vpn for the last 2 hours, it should turn on automatically but I have had to turn it on for ages now. This morning it will not turn on, I have tried troubleshooting and it comes up with a code to input to support but cannot find anywhere to type it in and chat just keeps turning itself off. I have noticed other customers on the forum saying they are having different problems with vpn, could it be part of an overall problem?
