My box came loaded with trialware of McAfee Personal Home Suite. I uninstalled it from control panel and installed Avast!. Now there is no evidence of its existence in control panel but it shows in the windows security center. See attached .jpg file please.
I downloaded MCPR2.exe the removal tool from McAfee website and run this as administrator but it couldn’t remove McAfee Personal Firewall. I want to install it at any cost. What can I do?
I wanted to say I want to uninstall it at any cost.

first i would try looking at the program listing via the start menu as there is sometimes an uninstall option there.
If that doesnt work then try this utility http://www.revouninstaller.com/
post back if niether are of any use.
Im not sure if your problem is Mcafee or windows security centre can you give more info?

With XP, Comodo v2.
With Vista, do not find a good one yet. Some guys suggest Comodo v3 beta.
Avoid ZA (bloatware), Sygate (stop development), PCTools (bad uninstallation).
Kerio is another possibility of free firewall.
