Hi, I got an avast! notification message this morning (India time) on my phone that there was an upgrade available to the Anti-Theft software. I’ve been trying ever since (its been 9hrs now) but I’m not able to complete the upgrade… I keep getting the ‘Server Overloaded’ message in red every time I try to update the software. All prelim checks work just fine including internet connectivity. I have allowed non-market apps to be downloaded and Anti-theft is disengaged as administrative software… I’ve done this once before and it has worked well then… Can someone please help? Is there an alternative way to update the software? Thanks!
Sorry, but you’ve to wait.
Due to the update (too) many customers try to update simultaneously. therefor it’s best to try a little later.
Dont panic! Just took my phone to control the wires. Notice of the service: please try later! The line is crowded. So I
ve to wait, too! Here is Germany and best greeting to you!

Well the update contents looks fairly unimportant if you are an English language user… So I don’t mind waiting… What’s annoying is the repeated reminder sounds I keep getting… Can that be turned off by simply un-checking the ‘check for updates’ tab??
if you uncheck ‘check for updates’ they will go away (no automatic checks in the background).
however, if you launch the Anti-Theft UI it will ALWAYS check for updates thus there you’ll still get the notification.
