I sent a ticket to support about this problem before, but suddenly my ticket is gone, I don’t know why. I haven’t delete or close any ticket. Already sent a reply to re-open my ticket, no respond. Maybe I’ll get a proper answer here.
Yesterday, I was trying to update my avast definition, but suddenly I got an error and this info;
Last encountred error : The license for this product is invalid or banned
Engine and definitions : Already up to date (current version : 150709-2)
I rarely updating the definition because of my internet connection, so I didn’t realized this sooner. Am I really banned or something?
I remembered rolling back my PC using restore point, but the rollback was not successful. And I was also swapped memory stick several times, because my motherboard has some error. Do any of these causing me banned?
My avast version is Internet Security and my subsciption currently still active.
Your ticket was replied on Friday, and definitely hasn’t been deleted. Could you please try logging into our portal to see your ticket https://support.avast.com/index.php ?
About the reason why your license’s been blacklisted, it was a free license generated by our recommendation program being sold on eBay. We, Avast Software, do not distribute licenses through eBay or portals alike. Re-selling a license (specially a free one) is against our EULA and when we detect that a license is being used in too many computers, it get blacklisted.
Well, I still can’t access my ticket, but it’s okay now. Indeed, I’m buying this license from a 3rd party, and I don’t know it supposed to be a free license. I can’t bought this directly because I don’t have any credit card that accepted at the website.
I’ll try to get another legit seller then. Thanks.
Depending on your country you can also pay through Paypal or using bank transfer.
