Unable to Update Virus Defs since Friday.

The update just stalls even if left for HOURS.
When I try to get the files to manually update, the file fails to complete.

What is with you Pros? I Pay For This and frankly Wonder WHY.

Why hasn’t my VERSION changed since 10.4.whatever? My CPU does SSE2.

Do McAfee customers get these problems? Does McAfee lock their PC’s up for MINUTES AT A TIME?

  1. What other security based software do you have installed (anti-virus, anti-malware, firewall, etc.) and what is your operating system ?

  2. Are you getting any errors displayed when doing a manual program update ?

  3. Version 10.4 is very old, so I wonder how it didn’t update to one of more of the program updates since 10.4.xxxx.

You can try an avast repair - Control Panel add-remove programs/programs and features > Avast Antivirus - Change from the next screen select Repair.
