My virusdefintions seem to be 8 days old (13/8/2015 15:20:410, version 150820-1). As I try to update them avast free says they are up-to-date. This seems strange to me: 8 days without a virusdefinition update?
do you recive stream updates? … they are pushed out evry 5-15 minutes
and this is latest VPS 150820-1, that contain backup / fix of previus released stream updates
150820 = 2015-08-20
if something was wrong, avast would tell you
I hope you are right. But not Avast, but Windows (7) is warning me that I should update Avast! In the windows problem center it says that the virusdefinitions are too old. Avast says it is from August 13, so I understand why Winodws says the definitions are too old… So something seems to be wrong. Either in Avast or in Windows not picking up that Avast is updated. So what’s the culprit?
Just to add, when glitches similar to this ocurr I’ve found that a ‘reboot’ can sync the OS,
If not a repair of Avast installation could be considered.
Rebooting the OS doesn’t change anything. Repairing the Avast installation: I assume you mean through the control panel/software/installed programs of Windows? I tried that, it doesn’t work either…
What version of avast! do you have? 2015.10.2.2218 or .2223, or the latest, 10.3.2225?
Avast! Free?
