I use a proggy called Windows Firewall Control (WFC) which allows me to contol outgoing access to the web.
This morning a proggy called “9498dadc-2a69-4c17-9f71-a8349be6481c.exe” asked for access which was supposedly signed by AVAST. Supposedly this proggy resides in
C:\program files\avast software\avast\setup\9498dadc-2a69-4c17-9f71-a8349be6481c.exe
…checking that folder shows nothing…nada…squat for that .exe. I have show Hidden folders/files turned on but this exe is not in that folder. A full search of the PC again comes up blank. A search with regedit also shows nothing and finally a scan with malwarebytes (mbam) shows nothing. Soooo… my question…is this an Avast .exe or something else more sinester that I should be worried about?
My guess is that *.exe file is a “system File”. However, if you’d like to check for Malware…

if you find it.......upload file to www.virustotal.com and test with 40+ malware scanners if tested before click new scan
