When we first got Avast, we used to get pop up messages asking us if we wanted to allow certain sites access etc.
My kids got one of these messages when logging into Webkinz, said “no” and I cannot figure out how to reverse this so that they can log in to Webkinz again.
We can get to the log in page, but when you click on “log in” and the next page comes up it stays blank.
Hmmm… it’s strange that only clicking “no” will work only for the current session, if you boot, the webpage should load after that IF IT IS CLEAN. Otherwise, the WebShield message will appear again asking you to abort connection. In fact, I can’t imagine the answer “no”, just “abort connection”. Avast does not ask for access, just scan websites and block the infected ones. Are you sure these messages come from avast?
Obviously I can’t log in but I can access the home page without any avast alert so can you be a little nor detailed about what is happening ?
The reason I ask is this doesn’t sound like an avast function, but a parental control style program (or you have the wording wrong) and that is a function that avast doesn’t have.
So do you have any parental control applications ?
What browser are you using (as that may have these controls) ?
A screen shot of any errors or the full text would help.
