Please could someone help me.

A recent Windows 8 update has prevented my tablet from booting up - I cannot access Windows as it just immediatly shuts down again upon start up

I have tried to restore my Thinkpad 2 Windows 8 tablet PC but unfortunately I keep getting and error that says:

“System restore could not access a file this is most probably due to an antivirus program is running on your pc. Temporarily disable your antivirus and retry system restore.”

Error code: 0x80070005

Unfortunately I bought the tablet PC 2nd hand so the recovery partition had already been wiped.

Please if someone could help me I would be extremely greatful thanks!!!

should I make my new thread under viruses and worms?

however please note this is not a virus or worm it is a problem with avast blocking access to windows recovery

should I post in the viruses and worms section anyway?
