Unhappy with Support

Perhaps this is the wrong place to vent but i really got frustrated with the support people.
I have used Avast Pro since 2014 on my laptop.
About 3 weeks ago the quick scan started stopping at 99%.
Smart-Scan works fine.
I called support to find out what might cause this.
After looking at my system they said it was due to remnants from programs i deleted in 2015.
i really got suspicious when they said my intel graphics driver was a pup.
Then they wanted to to try and sell me 140 dollar tech support/repair thing.
I wouldn’t bite and got transferred to the supervisor who went over the same stuff and wanted to sell me the same 140 dollar program and i told him no thanks.
I never did get my question answered and i really doubt that programs deleted 2 years ago all of a sudden started causing the issue.
All in all just a very bad dealing with the Avast support people.

Those are not people from avast but a third party that only handles some things for avast.

If you want to complain about it, you need to contact avast.

Since you have a current paid for subscription, all troubleshooting for your program should be for free. NOT! so for a third-party provider for which avast provides a phone number to call.

Their behavior indicates all they want is your money and not provide the help you need. Follow Eddy’s advice and complain to avast here: https://support.avast.com/support/home

Outright suspicious here: http://avastcustomersupport.com/ Not affiliated with avast. Note the correct names and words are all there, but it is not avast.

In addition, the 99% error is well-reported as a bug and is known.
