Uninstall and re install issues Avast Premium Security

I uninstalled the software, so I thought , but when I try to re install I get an error saying to remove the old version first , YET none of my software nor launchpad shows it being still installed , are there hidden files I need to delet so I can load a clean/new version onto the Mac

Unfortunately I don’t use Avast for Mac, this may have got a better response in the Avast For Mac section - Avast Mac Security - Avast Community

fixed the issue, I went to the MacHD_Library_Application Support_Avast
and deleted any folders labelled Avast , Then Re-installed Avast Security for Mac , all seems ok Now.
