Uninstall Avast

Hi,

I want to uninstall Avast Internet Security so that later I can install Avast Primium.

But my PC won’t reboot. When I run avastclear.exe in Admim Mode, the suggestion is to reboot the PC in Save Mode. But it won’t. So, I have to start it again manually.
But I can start in Safe Mode when I press F8 on the start up.
Will it be the same, to start the PC in Safe Mode (by F8) and then run avastclear.exe in Admin Mode?
