Uninstall clients, so netclients can be installed.

Dear All,

We have created an new installation of ADNM, everything works perfectly.
But we have a question, one some PC there has been a local installation of Avast Home/Pro Edition, the version is 4.8.
Now it is through ADNM not possible to install the Netclient.

Is there an easy way to uninstall the local Avast version on the clients, so we can install the Netclient version through ADNM.

Ofcourse we can go to every single PC and uninstall the client, but this is a lot of work and maybe some of you have an faster en better way to do the Job.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Paul

When Netclient 4.8 is released (which will hopefully be soon), there won’t be any need to uninstall anything - the Netclient installation upgrades the existing avast! Home/Pro.

However, as of now, I’m afraid it’s not possible, so I don’t think there’s any faster way.

Ok, I understand.
Have somebody any idea wenn it will be updated to 4.8?
Since the latest version is from February?

Why does it take so much time between the PC version release and the Netclient one? ???

I’m also wondering why it takes so much time, hopefully the will release the netclient in the near future.

If you have so many PCs,
maybe you should set a software Arch with remote install/uninstall?

To uninstall Avast client 4.8 you have to disable Avast self defense module and turning off Windows XP firewall.
How to do this remotely? Any hints or good program?
What means Arch?

Why? I don’t think this is needed… You need to grand access to the remote program, but not disable the firewall entirely…

Ok, I understand.
Even it is a very difficult Job to remove 4.8 professional client and than install Netclient 4.7
It does not goes automatically.
