Uninstall Window Deceptive Wording

On the uninstall window for the 2015 free edition there is an outdated notice of “No expiration warnings” if you renew the free protection and cancel the uninstall. I decided to test and 8 hours later I received the typical nag screen that service is expiring in 365 days. I doubt the nag screen strategy is going to change, so I suggest rewording the uninstall window to something that isn’t going to violate deceptive advertising laws in your region and mine. Your nag screens did technically work by convincing me to purchase a license, unfortunately it was with a competitor. Thanks for outstanding free service before this nonsense.

Posting a screenshot of the notices would be helpful.

The uninstall screen promising no more notices:

Not my image but the expiration reminder that pops every 8 hours. On my system it will say 365 days remaining.

It pertains to the registered free version of Avast 2015 in silent/gaming mode with no other popups besides that ridiculous focus demanding popup.

My biggest complaint regarding the decision to use focus grabbing nag screens is I’ve recommended Avast to thousands of clients over the years to prevent that sort of thing happening to them in the first place. While the school districts and most of the businesses that have adopted Avast are using the paid versions, I’m fairly positive the large majority of the personal users are only using the free version. Every single time that nag screen pulls focus from a game, interrupts a movie, interrupts typing homework/work reports those people aren’t just annoyed at you they’re also annoyed at the person who recommended the software to them…me!

I’m fairly certain most of you don’t work for Avast so please don’t take that as an attack on yourselves.

Hi,

sorry it was a bug. It should be fixed now.

Now your screen only offers you the ability to not uninstall Avast.
The lifetime free licenses unfortunately is no longer there.
