Uninstalling a corrupted file

Hello, I am trying to uninstall an old version of MalwareBytes.

However, when I try to uninstall using the MalwareByte uninstaller or the Control Panel uninstall option, it says it is corrupted and cannot be uninstalled.

When I downloaded the new version of MalwareBytes and tried to install it, it wouldn’t install because the old corrupted version was still present.

I even tried using the Uninstaller on Crapcleaner, but this corrupted file still won’t uninstall.

Is there something that can get uninstall this corrupted version of MalwareBytes so that I can install the new version? I am using Vista.

You could try installing the new one over the old one, that may overwrite the corrupt file.

Short of that a visit to the malwarebytes forum and see if there are any previous occurrences of this.

Thank you for your help.

It looks like they have a special uninstaller for their program.

You’re welcome.

Hopefully that does the job.
