How do you uninstall Avast! on a Linux box, please?
Thank you.
If I were on Linux now I could check…
I think there is info in the avast folder. You can also use Synaptics or other package manager.
But for sure there is a way to do so. Did you search avast forums?
Yes, I did search the forums, and nothing was there.
Hi, as Tech said use synaptic package manager. ![]()
The program isn’t in the Synaptic Manager.
So, is there another way? What should I do?
sudo apt-get remove [package name] should do it.
The package name is avast4workstation, I think.
Follow Frank’s advice, but you can search for avast into Synaptic and it should be there…
Indeed it is.
Thanks, Tech.
Thanks to the both of you. Very helpful.
