Please can someone advise how I uninstall AvastFree from my iMac?
On the top right, click on Avast icon, click on Open Avast Security. This will open the GUI
While GUI is focused, go to menu, click on Avast Security->Uninstall Avast Security
There should not be any trick in it. Open the app, go to the top left corner of your screen, and close to the “apple icon” you will see “Avast Security” menu. Choose “Uninstall” from the menu and uninstallation process will start…
I think lukas (who work for Avast) did an excellent job explaining the procedure. 
I have uninstalled Avast on my mac following the procedure. Unfortunately my App store can’t connect to the Internet anymore. May you assist?

Hi. I need help. I want to uninstall the free avast from my Mac but I don’t remember the password I used. My wife has paid for an anti-virus subscription (not avast) but it wont install until avast is deleted. HELP. The Mac is running OS X El Capitan.
