Uninstalling standard client before installing net client. Help!!!

Hi

We have used Avast! PRO 4.8 for a long time now as a second antivirus program. Most of our computers have the standard PRO client installed (as standalone) but now we have decided to use Avast! as our primary antivirus program. The problem is that ADNM does not recognize those computers that have the standard client installed, only those that have the net client installed. Does this mean that I have to manually uninstall the standard client on every single computer before I can use ADNM to push the net client back on!!!

Help!!!

Hi,

avast! Professional Editions cannot be managed by ADNM.

You need to install an avast! NetClient in all your machines, but you don’t need to uninstall avast! Professional Edition before, you can create a remote install from ADNM and the NetClient setup process uninstall avast! Professional Edition.

BTW. How many AV solutions are you using?

Are you sure that the standard client will be uninstalled? I’ve tried that a few times with no luck!

We have 140 clients and 15 servers.

Sure, sure… in this live the only thing that is sure, is the death. :-\

But, we have do this in several customers. In some machines, the process doesn’t work, so you have to uninstall it manually.

In the major part of the machines the process work properly.

Ok, it worked after a restart.

One more thing: where do i set/change the password needed to access “settings” on the client pc’`s? Default is admin but i would like to change it :slight_smile:
