Not liking the new Yahoo messenger I reinstalled my old one and even though I do believe I didn’t click a check for the toolbar to be installed it apparently was anyways.
I only had to disable it in Internet Explorer, it doesn’t appear in Edge (using Windows 10).
But I wanted to uninstall it but when I go to remove programs and try to Avast will block the process, and flag as Win32:Dropper-gen [Drp].
This must certainly be a false positive since it’s just a Yahoo thing from Yahoo but I was wondering about anyone else’s experiences…I didn’t find much in answers by Googling around. Seems it has happened with others but there were little resolutions to see what happened. I did see that Win32:Dropper-gen [Drp] can make for false positives out there.
Thanks for any info.
