As Avast! is configured now, it stops the scan the minute it finds a threat and asks me what to do, rather than waiting until the end of the scan and asking me what to do for each item when the scan is done. Within the dialog box that comes up when it finds something, there is a box I can check so Avast! won’t show that dialog box any more. I’m afraid to check that box because I need to know the consequences of doing so.
-
If I check that box, will future scans go all the way through and be uninterrupted if Avast! finds something? Will it then ask me what to do for each item only at the end of the scan?
-
Should I ever want to turn this feature back on, and have Avast! stop the scan the minute it finds somthing and ask me what to do, how would I do it? The box won’t be coming back up for me to check or uncheck if the dialog box is turned off.
Here are some of my program settings that may be relevant to this question. I read the help files and did some research.
