I get this message every time I connect to the net. It usually starts after a few minutes and if I select any of the options the task bar flickers white and The connection gets terminated and even if I click the connection icon in the task bar the Connection status dialog box doesn’t appear. Please advice what is wrong here.

Also, Avast periodically reports “DCOM Exploit attack from 117.203.145.143:135” with different IP addresses. What is wrong here?

Messages like:
Network Shield: blocked “DCOM Exploit” - attack from 81.178.115.162:135/tcp
are due to the RPC/DCOM exploit, which is a vulnerability that allows an attacker to gain access to the destination machine by sending a malformed packet to the DCOM service. It uses the RPC TCP port 135.

Which firewall do you use?
And, most important, is your operational system updated?

Did you run a full avast scanning or an avast boot time scanning?
