Hi everyone, i’m havin problems trying to remove a virus…
Have used virus checkers and cleaners which both have come up “no virus found”. Yet every time i turn p.c on i get notice…virus found Win32:NcaseSpy[trj] found in c:\windows\dcnwb.exetmp"file. And various other files. Have tried several searches on this virus but have been unsuccesfull. Is this a variant of another virus? Windows XP is fully up to date.
How Can i get rid of this damned annoying virus… simple terms please still a novice… Thanks John

Hi I have been getting viruses on my pc.
the avast antivirus has deleted 89 infected files but could no delete one
it gave me an error:42060
and every time i turn on my computer the massege with a big red circle X comes up
and if I take it of it turns of my computer.
When I want to get on the internet explorer it does not open.

I would have been better to have created your own new topic rather than open one that is four and a half years old.

Deletion isn’t really a good first option (you have none left), ‘first do no harm’ don’t delete, send virus to the chest and investigate.

  • What Operating System are you using ? is it up to date ?
  • What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number, e.g. 4.8.1335 and 090419-0 (see about avast!) ?

Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it and report the findings (it should product a log file).

This sounds like a fake security alert, don’t visit any site run a scan or download anything suggested by the rogue security program.

Download and run both programs mentioned in the post above yours.

If the alerts keep coming, set an avast scanning at boot time and also use Malwarebytes software that David posted on reply #4.

hi i have this problem every time i shut down comp. and start cmputer opens 10 20 30 windows one by one i close them thay still come out only way i can use my comp is if i restart not shut down than i dont get anything for days mybe weeks than i have to restart again i have avast pro did a scan many times did not find anything also the windows fire wall defender to…i apologize my comp. skills arent very sharp but if you need any other info about this let me know…thanks

Have you run a boot time scan with avast?
