There must be some people around that still use Windows 98 SE as an OS. Because it is no longer supported through Microsoft, it is getting more and more difficult to keep it safe. of course you can make it safer with SpywareBlaster, Spybot S&D and Ad-aware, together with a decent firewall, AVAST av, and a safer browser like Firefox, and Thunderbird and Mailwasher installed. Until Microsoft comes with a lean safe alternative OS for older smaller office computers, then this is the alternative and where to go for an unofficial service pack for WIN98SE: http://exuberant.ms11.net/98sesp.html It is available for download in various language versions. Try at your OWN risk.

About this WIN98SE service pack. Did you try it. Is it any good or buggy. What is your experience with it? I think together with a resore program it is better and safer.
I think I already gave pretty good explanation how everything works because I installed it on my father’s PC and his PC works good like never before… no issues at all…

A Greek philosopher said: “I know one thing, that I know nothing” and I live by that. The more you learn, the more you find out that there is much more to learn. And as another (Chinese, I think) philosopher said: “Only the very wise and the very stupid don’t change” - I don’t consider myself being wise or stupid, so I’ve to keep on changing & learning.
