But I found a solution to the problem. I went to Menu - Settings - Protection - Core Shields - File Shield and disabled the Scan files when writing option. It’s probably a bug in the antivirus. How to fix this without disabling the Scan files when writing option?
Does it happen for every ZIP archive (even if the archive contains e.g. just one small txt file), or does it happen with a specific archive? In the later case, I believe we’d need to get that archive so that we can check. Also, do you unpack it in any specific way? (context menu, 7-Zip UI, command line, …)
“Does it happen for every ZIP archive (even if the archive contains e.g. just one small txt file)” - no. This does not happen with all archives. For example, if you pack a small TXT file, then it unpacks without problems.
If you pack a 2.75 GB video file, then it unpacks without problems either.
I am a webmaster and work with sites on the Joomla CMS. The problem is related to unpacking archives with site files, for example, archives of Joomla itself. Here is an example downloads.joomla . org/cms/joomla5/5-2-0 Inside the archives there are many PHP, JS and other files.
“Also, do you unpack it in any specific way? (context menu, 7-Zip UI, command line, …)” - I use the context menu.
If I go to 7-Zip and click “Unzip”, then everything happens without problems. Probably the reason is that the context menu is used.
