Unsecured PC... apparently. "Fix Now" Problems!

Hey, I got in touch with the support team but figured it’d just be quicker to ask you folks on here!

In the Summary section it states that my computer is Unsecured, so when I click FIX NOW, a Windows pop-up asks me if I want to allow the program to make changes to my computer. I click yes and then it will just repeat the process three or four times before doing nothing and going back to the summary page.

I’ve tried uninstalling (which messes up the computer by stopping the mouse and keyboard working) and reinstalling, and running as administrator and running as normal yet neither make a difference. I’ve tried to connect my “device” to the account but that doesn’t seem to work either so I don’t know if that has something to do with it. The application itself seems to be completely unconnected from the account I have and it wont let me link the two no matter what I try.

I received an auto-mated response from the support team asking me to generate a support package to send to them, but when I go through the options it doesn’t actually generate anything, despite thinking it does.

Does anyone have any idea on what step I should take next to stop it from messing about?

I’m running Windows 7 and the Avast version I have is 7.0.1451 with the avast! Internet Security package which has until September left.

Thanks!

Please update to version 7.0.1456…!!
