Unsubscribing is impossible!

I want to unscubscribe current services, so they don’t get prolonged automatically. But either there is no unsubscribe Button, or if there is one, the button doesn’t react. . Apperantly I have two accounts, as avast advertisements kept pooring in on two different email accounts, I lost survey and now have far more services than I need. If I try to delete my accounts I get warned, that I will still get billed, if I don’t unsubscribe each service first. Is is impossible to get support here, unbelievable!

First I did not realize, I have two accounts. I was wondering, where my other services had gone. Apperantly Avast sent me offers on two different Mailaccounts and that’s how it happened. I tried two bring the two Avast-Accounts together, but did not succeed, the sent me arount in circles.
When I go on idavastcom as you say, I see three services for download, which I already have installed.If I want to unsubscribe them, the button doesn’t react, as described. I don’t find asset to my other avast acount anymore, allthough I know on which mail account it runs. This is the worst I ever experienced with a company. Luckily my paycard is now not valid anymore, so the automatic billing cannot happen anymore. And I don’t think, the company has a right for any further demands on me. Or how do you see that?

If you still have these products, are using them and you have an renewal payment mandate in place, then it would try.

Thanks, David. I could cancel automatic renewal, but only for three services of eight. And three of them are double as it seems. And they still try to sell me services, I already have. It is unbelievable. I just cannot reach the other services to cancel, don’t know how to get to them and have already invested hours into it. I haven’t seen anything like it before. But today I saw somewhere a number for technical support. I did not have time yet to see into that. Perhaps wonder happen and I’ll manage to talk to someone from avast…

Hi again, I still could not get into my second account. Whenever I try to login to my second account, it doesn’t accept my login dates, also if I change the code. But they list up my many services, even double bookings in the history. But I cannot stop autrenewal. Just encredible. And my hope to find a customer service who gives real answers has vanished. I think, we paying customers are all trapped here. What probably helps, is to change your credit card, as I did, so nothing can be deducted anymore.

I have tried to attract some attention to your topic, I don’t know how successful this may be.

I am also trying to cancel my account and

just sends me round in circles, they also keep

trying to take money from my account, thankfully

my bank stopped it .. 3 times so far

Hi, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble cancelling your subscription. I quickly checked your account and I don’t see any active subscriptions. I suspect this might be the situation where the order is associated with a different email address.

Can you please contact our billing support? They should be able to get this situation resolved. I recommend that you do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to Contact Avast Support - Avast Phone Number, and Chat Support
  2. Select - Account & Billing - Billing issues - Update Account Information.
  3. Click “Get support” at the bottom.
  4. Contact support via Phone or via Chat.

They shouldn’t have to do this, if the Avast Program - Settings - Menu - Go To Account worked.

Surely they should be able to Cancel the Payment Mandate and the Subscription and or via id.avast.com (where the program essentially directs you.

If they have been down that route and it has failed, that area of id.avast.com needs to be addressed.

@DavidR I agree, but you’re making some assumptions here. If the order is associated with a different email, then it will not be visible in the account. This could also be a fake email impersonating Avast. That’s why I advised contacting support so we can check the situation.

I appreciate your feedback though, as I realize there are similar problems reported by some other users. I should’ve mentioned the default cancellation method: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/account-unsubscribe/ - that should be the first step.

However the current support structure is a bit of a circular maze, why else are there many angry users unable to cancel and or get a refund.

This structure needs looking at so as it isn’t a circular maze with many users in this forum unable to unsubscribe..

As for possibly using a different email to subscribe then how would they be able to install and log on to on to their account

I think that @scottffd meant their bank account rather than the Avast Account.

As for your other notes, I agree with you again. And improvements are in progress (unfortunately with changes like this it can take time to really be visible in customer feedbacks).

Whilst that may be possibly be correct, but this comment definitely refers to his failed attempts to cancel his Avast subscription/account.

I also don’t know how it would be possible to use a different email address for both his Bank and his Avast Account. Where would the registration and subscription email be sent.
