unused file extension: .int?

I use ccleaner to scan my computer for unused registry extensions, and it found the extention .int as unused.

isn’t .int used by avast’s VRDB? and i also found the file with the extension .int in the folder “integ” in avast’s folder.

So is it harmful if i remove that extension?
Replies appreciated, thanks.

avast! has a file with .int extension, but I don’t think it needs an association for it - so deleting it shouldn’t do any harm (to avast!, at least).

No, it’s not harmful… but do you need to remove it? Do you have any other application - probably not - that asks for this assotiation?
In fact, the .int file, in few words, is the VRDB itself

Thanks a lot for the replies, that explains it, thanks.
