avast or malwarebytes didn’t find it but hitman pro did. it was an exe file and it had a rude file name. i dont know what its purpose was but hitman pro did sat it quarantined it and deleted it so hopefully its gone. it was a root kit.
What was the name of the rootkit?Tdss?Whistle?
umm… “suckme.exe” i tried a search on it and i found nothing, but definitely not trying to be inconspicuous.
Hi sirMAXX,
It is the name of the World of Warcraft Bot WoWGlider 0.6.5. launcher & Blizzhackers glider launcher.
Bing search query delivers the search results (2) for you, maybe Google is blocking that search
term?
polonus
WoW? that is bizarre. i never put WoW on this computer.
you should have tested the “suckme.exe” file at www.virustotal.com before you deleted it
so what do rootkits do anyways? sounds like they get in to the registry, im hoping its gone for sure.
Did hitman reported any virus name?Trojan etc?
no just a root kit, it did say bit torrent was suspicious but i knew that was ok.
