When I try to log in to “my” avast account I get this message: Unverified Account
To log in to My AVAST Account, you must follow the confirmation email to your email address
Resend confirmation email
After clicking on “resend” this message pop’s up: Success
Your confirmation email has been sent.
Well today is the 3rd day of waiting for this email.
The email address is correct (copy and past from email account) I have tried several times, also another account without any luck.
Is it possible that avast does not support hotmail.com accounts?
Oh… whow! Thank you very much, that was a quick responce, I’m impressed!!!
Sorry I forgot to mention, there is nothing in the spam folder either.
I tried with 3 email addresses, 2 with hotmail and 1 with t-online.de.
Hotmail does not work, t-online.de does. But I don’t want to use this t-online address.
When I activate/confirm through the link sent to t-online, will this mean I only can use this address and all eventual messages/information will be send there?
It would be interesting to find out why hotmail is making this problem, I guess I’m not the only avast anti-theft user with a hotmail account…
To which email address should I send this hotmail address? When I click on your name I get an error message that I’m not allowed to view…
Thanks again for your great help!
P.S.
when typing in the captcha, sometimes it is not recognized or a “time out” and an error message occurs. This is not the problem, the problem is that the entire message is gone. Is there a way to keep the message (besides to copy and paste to notepad or so), so it does not need to be typed in again?
OK, it seems that there was some problem with hotmail a few weeks ago, but it should be all good now. Can you post a screenshot with your (non-working) hotmail address set up in avast! Account? Or send it to my email havlicek[at]avast[dot]com if you don’t want to disclose your address here. We will try to take a look.
I am also seeing this same problem. I have resent my confirmation to my hotmail 4 times now. It is not in the spam folder either. I am now having an issue that I have an unprotected computer due to this problem.
