Within the past week I have seen large blue/white lettering ads telling my my Cisco wifi is unprotected. Secure it now, the ad says. These obnoxious rectangles float up and down the screen, taking up a third of it. Hitting the “X” does nothing but bring more on. Nothing can be done to get them away. Assuming they are Avast ads, be advised that I just now stopped automatic renewal of my accounts and, even though I have seven months remaining, I will uninstall all Avast if they - and other Avast ads - continue. Not a threat, a promise.
Might be a good idea to contact Avast customer support to verify the reported vulnerability that’s being reported.

If it’s a false positive, you can help Avast fix the problem.
