Unwanted Toolbar & Virus

Hi,

Can someone please give me advice on how to remove an internet toolbar called Tango from my computer. It came through about four days ago and now it seems my computer keeps getting Trojan viruses coming through eventhough I’m not linked to the internet. I have Avast 4.8 antivirus which is picking up the viruses and I’m keeping them in the chest as each time I delete them they come back. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Try Norton Power Eraser and Iobit Uninstaller:

Hi merleprice,

This can be done through MBAM - instructions can be found here: http://computersight.com/software/how-to-remove-tango-toolbar-malware/

Many thanks guys, will give it a try and see what happens. Really appreciate the help.

Okay, I tried so many times to access the Malwarebytes site to download the program but I just get the message that I can’t connect to that page. I don’t know but it seems that whatever this toolbar is it’s not allowing me to download anything that will remove it. Does anyone have any suggestion for me please on what’s the best course of action to take?

If its only blocking Mbams site, you could try downloading it from an alternate source>>

http://www.filehippo.com/
You could also try this>>http://www.superantispyware.com/

Why not try Norton Power Eraser… Report here if it fails to clean the tool bar

Okay thanks, will give it a try and see what happens. Will report back if it’s successful or not.

if you have access to another computer, you can download and burn it on a cd or use a USB stick and move it over…

Hi there,

Okay finally managed to download the Malwarebytes via the filehippo website so thanks for the tip, it’s definitely helped but unfortunately I’ve still got this damn toolbar on my computer. When I did a scan with the Malware it picked up some adware stuff etc. but not this toolbar. I guess my last resort is to take my computer to someone so they can have a look at it.

Or you can let Essexboy fix it for you…?
