Some inside information just for you :

Next week AV-Comparatives will publish a report about testing AV products against Ransomware.
And I can tell you Avast performs very well in this test with :

95+% in both on/offline sample detection.
100% in on-execution detection.

What was the avast! version used? Was that the “old” 2016 one or the current beta? I don’t remember from the presentation. Because current beta should skyrocket that far higher with Behavior Shield module.

They didn’t tell which version, but I assume it is always the latest Offiicial Release from every vendor they test with.
