hi guys, I had a T-Mobile MiFi supplying win8 for several weeks ok, but recently connections were refused. could not see button to switch avast (paid) off temporarily - where is it ? had to go into TaskMgr and stop the services, and yes that was the problem. im posting this now thru the MiFi with avast OFF. but now of course I cannot download any newer update, or what to do next ? any advice appreciated, thanks !

version 7.0.1471 paid os 64 win8 no other AV
where is the easy switch off button ? 7.0 was working, but now .1471 blocks the network wifi input.
how to revert to older update ? or is there a newer than .1471 ? thanks @ uk
There’s the new 8.0.1480 RC2 available in the Beta board, I’d suggest a clean install if you wish to use it though, it’ll help eliminate any issues between versions.
thanks craig. i just re-installed ver .1474 and that cured whatever was wrong with .1471
now just waiting for win 9 to cure win 8
