a quick question , I have avast pro 4 and I was wondering can I update to avast 5 .

yes… :wink: if you have a valid license for avast 4.8 pro you should get avast 5 pro for free

followed your advice but don’t know what happened but after ugrading my laptop slowed down dramatically avast 5 wouldn’t open properly I mean nothing worked at all eventually removed avast 5 and reinstalles avast 4.8 pro and evrythings ok now

any ideas on what went wrong ???

Maybe you should try a clean install, uninstall 4.8 > restart > run the removal tool found here as nr.1 http://uninstallers.blogspot.com/ > restart > install V5 > enter license key from 4.8

no luck this time
download was veryvery slow and when it finally finished my license key was rejected .So back to square one again I guess.
