update definations on a ubuntu Headless server

Background:

  • Running Ubuntu 16.04 server on Oracle VM VirtualBox
  • Installed avast

What I am trying to do:

  • update the definitions using this command:
 0 * * * * /var/lib/avast/Setup/avast.vpsupdate

what went wrong:

0: command not found

expected outcome:
some kind of output that shows the definations is updating or updated.

Really appreciate input of where I went wrong

I am using a free version

There’s no free version for Linux.

I follow this link when installing and it worked, hm.

You need to purchase a license, else it won’t work.
