update error

Hi there,

The last two days I have received an error-message from avast saying that there has been an error while updating. I have tried to update “manually” - and that worked without problems.
The logfile looks as follows:

SYSTEM 1308
Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004.

SYSTEM 1308
An error has occured while attempting to update. Please check the logs.

02-10-2006 18:02:34
SYSTEM 1300 Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004.

Can anyone explain this - and tell me what to do???

Can you do a manual update, right click the avast icon, Updating, iAVS Update ?

What is your internet connection method, broadband, dial-up, etc. ?
When does this happen, directly after boot, when ?
Check the about avast Registration Key information and ensure your Updates expiration date is still in date.
