update fails :(

Been running avast free home edition for 3 years, never had this problem before. I noticed this problem 2 days ago and since then every time I try to update it says:

“Invalid file signature. Setup will terminate.”

Nothing wrong with my internet connection and I have plenty of free space on my hard disk. Running Windows 7 Ultimate (x64).

have you try uninstalling and reinstalling avast?

that usually fixes the problem…

Your not going to get anything solved running an old version of avast, best to dowload the latest prerelease which is pinned on the forum page then delete your current version and reboot then run ccleaner and install your new copy and register :slight_smile:
