hey I’m using the free avast 5 atm but is interest in updating to the suite, and was thinking meaby get your two year licens special offer, but i have a question do i have to uninstall the free version or could i just put in the licence i get after i have buyed the two year licensen.
would that work or should i uninstall the free and then download the suite instal and put in the licens from there?

what will happen is that instead of just downloading and installing the missing components, the IS setup will uninstall the “free” version; you will have to reboot, and then launch the setup a second time. Well that’s how it happened on my system recently. You might just as well uninstall “free” manually, reboot, and install AIS, no difference.

Are you sure? Even if you put the license key in manually (using the insert license key for Pro/Suite button)? I wouldn’t think there would be a need to completely uninstall V5.
It’s probably better to start from scratch though as it will keep your computer running faster and will delete unnecessary files
