Update intervals in Avast! 6

Hi,

Just a quick question. Could you confirm that also for the latest versions the default update interval is 240 minutes for Avast! Free and 60 minutes for Pro & IS?

P.S. I know the minimum intervals are 120 minutes (Free) and 15 minutes (Pro & IS).

you can also check your avast to make sure:
open avast ui,settings,update,expand “details” and see what number is set in the “auto update interval” box.

Yeah, but I have customized settings (i.e. 120 minutes) and I just wanted to be sure that the default interval was still 240 minutes in the current Avast! Free 6.x version. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions.

Note, the interval is also variable depending on server load I believe, so the 120 or 15 minimums you mentioned could be raised if required.

Thanks for the information, David. Actually I’m increasing the interval, reverting back to the default one.

With the number of daily updates, yesterday there were three I believe, one to correct an issue with an earlier one. I never suffered a problem with any of them, though that will also be down to the time zone you are in and no doubt the frequency that you update.
