My virus database was updated today, but I did not get the sliding box notification… I checked that I still had the box checked to notify me, and it was checked… I unchecked the box and re- checked it. It has always worked before…
Any input?
Nothing was changed lately…
Maybe just an isolated trouble, maybe some other application/process avoid avast to show this notification…

Thanks… I should have checked my log before posting… I think I know what happened…
The update (0614-0) is dated April 3, but I actually got it the night of the 2nd. I live in Arizona, so it could just be a time zone thing.
When I turned the machine on on the 3rd, there was no new update, but the definitions had a date of the third… Confused me…
Agreed… better to have it update and not be told than to be told it is updating when it is not… Thanks again.
