Update now?

Being on this forum for a couple of days already, I was wondering if it was a good idea to update Avast! and Windows 8 now, or if I should rather wait for some updates from the Avast team and Microsoft? Should I update Avast first before installing Win8.1? Or use the Avast cleaner and uninstall Avast!8 before installing the new Windows, then Avast 2014?

I mean, Iā€™m just trying to avoid all of these problems that some other Avast! members encountered ;D

You need Avast 9 to upgrade to Win 8.1. Avast 8 does not support Win 8.1. If you were to update Windows to 8.1 without updating Avast it would most likely delete itself. (most cases on forum)
