update to avast! 594

hi everyone,
I installed the offline version off avast 5 free a few months ago,
i think it was complaining the virus definitions were out dated so I downloaded the newest offline updates on an other computer transfered it with a usb and rebooted.
everything worked fine except now it complaining that the program is out dated.

Whats the difference to the old avast 5 to the newer 594 and where can i download it as an offline installer? ???

i also forgot to say is avast supposto talk to you while it is doing a scan???

Although it is rather creepy, yes. You can turn it off in the settings if you want.
