Which up to a point is what I’m on about not, OFP forgetting as when setup it generally sits n the background unobtrusively. I have mine setup on rules wizard, which may be a little more chatty than having it set , it can also be set to allow most, where it makes more of the decisions.
I have never had the issue with avast program updates resulting in new processes being blocked or permission being requested.
The element that usually kicks in is the Anti-Leak function for the changed processes and this generally kicks in before you try to connect as it knows a trusted process has changed. Once that is allowed the previously given internet permissions would still be valid.
