Updated to new version but cannot turn real-time shield on

I have updated to the newer version but cannot turn the real-time shield on. I have tried to restart the service
in administrative tools but it has not worked.

Have you tried a few reboots as that sometimes is all that is required, if that fails then a repair might be in order.
