I can see why it would have to access everything listed except for Comodo unless it needed to be allowed in order to function properly. It’s going to change the way Flash is downloaded and installed so it has to make some alterations to things. It also probably needs to collect the info about the systems it is installed on to help analyze potential problems which may occur at a later date. Many programs do this. I wouldn’t be overly concerned myself.

I don’t see why it should have to access any of those keys in order to tell if Flash is up to date and install a new version if necessary. It looks to me like the EULA explains what it’s doing and why. I think the other forum members should at least be aware of this. There’s no mention of phoning home the user’s computer configuration in the announcement posted here or the program’s home page. At least it’s in the EULA.

Before anyone runs this installer, I recommend reading the whole OpenCandy EULA. I had no idea that just installing Alternative Flash Player Auto-Updater was signing me up for all this. No thanks!

Okay so they admit they do it for advertising purposes. That is a concern but changing the way Flash is updated would require that some settings be altered. I agree now that you may not want to use the program. Especially since I have never had any problems with updating Flash the standard way that Adobe provides. I have no issues with their download manager.
